Founded in 1998 in Louisiana, PHS expanded its services to include Texas in 2004.  PHS is unique in that our specialty is providing 24 hour caer for the elderly, disabled, convalescing or anyone needing assistance or companionship.  We provide an affordable alternative for those who value the comforts of home and the freedom afforded by an independent lifestyle.  

Services
Caregivers assist clients with all their activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, personal  hygeine and mobilty assistance. In addition to personal assistance they perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation, assistance with medications and errands. 

PHS provides two caregivers to each case, each working a 7-day on/7-day off rotating schedule.  This schedule provides coverage 365 days a year and limits the number of personnel changes which ensures consistency and continuity of care.  Client care is always our number one priority.  The PHS office provides case management for each case relieving the family of the stresses of staffing and scheduling caregivers.  PHS offers each client and family the peace of mind knowing that someone is always there. 

Levels of Care
Basic/Moderate Care: Caregivers provide light household duties, meal preaparation, errands, transporting of the client and medication reminders.  Care ranges from individuals who only need supervision or companionship to those who need assistance in bathing, toileting, dressing and mobility.  This level of care also includes those who require minimal to maximal night assistance and/or those who have incontinence of bowel or bladder. 
Dependent Care:  Includes all of the above.  In addition, the client may be bed bound, wheelchair dependent, unable to assist with mobility, require alternative means for feeding and/or use of specialized equipment. 
Family Care Plus:  Includes care for two or more individuals.  Rates for family care plus varies based on the level of care of each individual. 

*A difficulty factor will be discussed if the case so requires.

While PHS accepts only private payments (we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid), some long term care insurance policies will reimburse the insured for homecare services.  Check with your insurance carrier to see if such coverage is part of your policy.
